Happiness: Holding my Grandbabies
I never knew how much fun it could be to be a grandma. I also am really sorry that my parents AND his parents live so far away from us that they don't get to experience the joy that is felt in our home whenever one of our grandkids come to visit. The slightest cry from the newest grandbaby is enough to make the soundest asleep teenybopper to jump out of bed to take care of the "kid". It just warms my heart when the boys come over and they also just want to hold the baby. I am so glad that males are being nurtured enough to want to nuture others and it is okay to show that side of them. way to go moms!!@!

Lightning Strikes

Lightning struck close to our home around 6 AM..the house shook so bad that it literally threw me up out of bed! No more sleeping for me. Karl & Jarren are at scout camp in this stormy weather. I'm sure they will have some stories to share. Karen is home from girl's camp and she talks about finding scorpions, brown recluse spiders and roaches the size of her feet in her cabin around 2 AM so she and Syd quickly found somewhere else to sleep. They probably didn't know that if their cabin had those fun critters, most likely all of the cabins had fun critters in them!
